TIMES is situated on the 3rd and 4th floors of the nearly completed Health and Biomedical Sciences Building. The space includes both a Computational Physiology Laboratory and a Computational Biomedicine Laboratory, three state of the art conference rooms, including the Gayle M. Rettig, Ph.D. Conference Room, and a classroom boasting nine Mac Mini computers with Plasma displays, a Smart Board, and a brand new projection system.
The journey to realize the 167,000 square foot Health and Biomedical Sciences Center is one that started with early program and concept studies in 2004 for the Vision Institute. Over the course of the following 6 years, the original concept evolved into the integrated, cross disciplinary building it is today, facilitating collaboration across neuropsychology and neuroscience, measurement and statistics, biology and biochemistry, biomedical engineering, pharmacy, optometry, computer science and computational physiology.
